An online shop in Japan that sells "aged shuriken", or reproductions, to Museums
http://www.goshin.co.jp/shuriken1.html

Apparently it is quality material, but it is made to look old and authentic, and is used by many museums. Bit of a scam! (In Japanese)

A website for a small museum promoting the city of Ueno. Among many examples of Japanese culture, they have a few shuriken on display. Very brief introduction to shuriken. Good to find something new on the net anyway.

A Japanese shuriken website - Mumyouan.com. (in Japanese)
They appear to have quite a bit of technical information, lots of photos and text, but I have never heard of the Ryu. They have heard of this site though, as they provide a link. I'll have to research this one a bit and comment later.

How to make origami shuriken
The Marubeni Corporation's promotional site has a small section on this interesting cultural asset. My 8 year old son Adrian made a couple, and they appear to fly very well in the horizontal throw, but not the overhand throw. I set him the task of researching some improvements to allow the overhand throw...we'll see what he comes up with ! (I love those ninja water walking boots...:-) .

Online magazine The Thrower http://www.sonic.net/~quine/thrower.html has a page or two on shuriken, recently updated. Some interesting anecdotes. There is a couple of photos of a model throwing in Shirakami's style, but I wouldn't say it is an accurate representation of his form, as the hand is placed at the wrong angle and the arm doesn't follow through on the basic throw. Neverheless, some better info here than is found at most other places.

Knifethrowing.info is a site dedicated to the art of knife throwing, with lots of good information. http://www.knifethrowing.info/index.html

Don't bother...

A good example of Bad Budo! You have to check these guys out so you know what to be careful of. I can't believe these guys are still alive... the Iga Ninjas - New!

Takeda Ryu Nakamura-ha Sobudo have shuriken-jutsu listed as one of their 7 arts. This group is a bit suspect, as they purport to be a classical art with connections back to Takeda Shingen, yet it appears they are a modern creation (see E-Budo thread)

Tallaght Shuriken Jitsu Academy is not Shuriken at all, but Ju Jutsu. They use the name only.

An Internet Discussion Board on Shurikenjitsu is actually for the above Jujitsu club, no shuriken at all.

I don't know why I bother searching the web for shuriken sites, there's nothing worthwhile there. If you have aa site that you feel is worth a look, then email me, I'm done wasting my time looking...jason@pacific.net.au
